Thailand Ministries, Authorities and Government Offices

Government offices in Thailand are usually open between 8:30am and 4:30 pm Mon-Fri except on public holidays. For a satisfactory visit it is certainly advised to make an appointment with the Chief of Department or the highest senior employee there. Although English maybe spoken the official language used will of course be Thai as will any documents that need to be filled out so it is preferable to take a translator with you. A lawyer may also be needed to complete the official forms correctly.
