The Pranburi Forest Park protects the mangrove forest of the Khlong Kao-Khlong Kob National Reserve Forest. It is located at the mouth of the Pranburi River to the Gulf of Thailand in Pranburi district, Prachuap Khiri Khan. The park covers an area of 3.17 km² and was declared a forest park by the royal forest development in 1982.
Pranburi forest park consists of Pran Kiri beach, mixed forest and mangrove, it has naturally beauitful scenery and wildlife. The Pranburi river also runs through the middle of the forest.
There are a few nature trails you can take, the two most popular are those closest to the vistors center. The beach route takes you along a path through the sea pine trees running alongside the beach. The other being the mangrove trail, which is a winding round trip of about 1km along a raised wooden platform through a mangrove forest. There are several types of tropical flora and wildlife to see such as the red claw crab, mud skippers and kingfisher birds.
If you tired of walking, about half round the mangrove trail you can sit in the comfort of a shaded long tail boat which will seat 8-10 people and take trip around the mangroves and up the Pranburi River.
Feeling peckish, facing the beach is a real good restaurant that serves up delicious Thai food and ice creams for dessert or grab a mangrove coffee.

Just a 30 min drive south. Take the Hua Hin Pranburi Road making a left about 500m from the Suan Son road. Follow the signs to the Pranburi Forest Park.
