Thailand's most famous island Phuket offers an excellent range of world wide cuisines for its holiday makers and locals alike. Seafood is of course the speciality of the island with fresh fish, shellfish, crab and Phuket Rock Lobster being caught daily in the Andaman Sea and served in a range of styles by the many restaurants Phuket has to offer. Phuket is not just a place for tourists but expatriates as well and the cuisine on offer at a lot of the restaurants is created by European chefs who have settled in Phuket to live so expect many home style recipes with a passionate touch. You can feast on Thai, Italian, Scandinavian, German, French, Mexican, Japanese, English and Indian food in Phuket to name just a few, either in one of the sophisticated air conditioned restaurants to the open air 'al fresco' restaurants with a sea view. Certainly not a place to go hungry Phuket offers the finest dining at reasonable prices.
