Krabi Travel and Transport

Krabi has a variety of transport for visitors to use, whether it is songteaw, tuk tuk, or motorbike taxi. Car and Bike rental shops are everywhere and you can for a small price rent a vehicle by the day or week to use during your visit to Krabi. There are also taxis available in Krabi and you can rent these and a driver for the day or week also. Long Tail boats are available at Krabi Town providing quick and cheap travel to all the main beaches.

Travelling to Krabi by overland transport is relatively easy as well, though unfortunately Krabi is off the main railway route and if you travel to Krabi by train you will need to get off at Surat Thani or Trang and then transfer to a bus for the remainder of the journey. Bus Travel is the easiest way to reach Krabi, and you can travel from down from Bangkok or up from Phuket quickly and cheaply on the provincial buses. Krabi does have an airport, flights from Phuket, Bangkok and Koh Samui run daily. Visitors to Krabi can also travel by sea from daily ferries leaving from Phuket and Koh Phi Phi.
