Koh Samui despites its international popularity provides some excellent quality cheap hotel and resort accommodation. The more expensive areas to stay are generally in Chaweng and Lamai where you can find the main shopping, nightlife and dining out areas of Koh Samui. Further around the island you will find you tend to get more for your money with regards to hotels and resort rooms, though of course if you are traveling to Chaweng and Lamai nightly then it can often work out to be expensive with the tuk tuks and local transport. |
