Wat Thum Khao Tao

Thum Khao Tao is a Chinese Buddhist Temple which has been built on the side of the hill overlooking the beach and the ocean. Located on Khao Tao (Turtle Hill) at the south end of Suan Son beach, it features lot's of statues and great views.

Mrigadayavan Palace or Marukhathaiyawan Palace is a magnificent all teak wood palace built in 1923 as a summer palace for Rama VI on Bang Kra beach near Cha-Am in Phetchaburi province.

 

Khao Takiab Temple

The Khao Takiab Temple or Monkey Mountain as it is known locally is one of Hua Hin's most well known attractions and is well worth a visit if you are in town.

Located on Khao Takiab hill south of Hua Hin just 10 minutes drive from Hua Hin town centre, Khao Takiab Temple is not just any Thai temple.

Wat Huay Mongkol

Wat Huay Mongkol (Huay Mongkol Temple) is a Buddhist temple set in large grounds to the west of Hua Hin. Wat Huay Mongkol is home to the largest statue of the immensely popular Buddhist monk Luang Pu Thuat who was famed for his ‘miracles’. Luang Pu Thuat lived some 400 years ago.

Hua Hin Temples

There are several temple attractions in Hua Hin, the main one is Wat Ampharam conveniently located in the centre of Hua Hin; also in town is Wat Yai Suwannaram which contains 300 year mural paintings. Wat Bor Fai is an interesting temple to visit and is home large ponds that are full of catfish and can be fed by the public, though a small donation to the monks and temple is needed.

 

Pa La U Waterfall Hua Hin

A popular attraction in Hua Hin is the Pa La-U waterfall (Namtok Pa La-U) which is located 63 kilometres west of Hua Hin in Kaengkrachan National Park. Visitors can arrange a trip here by themselves and travel by taxi or songteaw or choose from the many sightseeing tours that are available at Hua Hin’s travel agents.

 

Hua Hin Elephant Trekking
